Every Tuesday from 10.30am – 11.30am our FREE exercise class has been running for a while and it’s great to see so many people taking part. Gill, our fantastic helper, now takes this class and every week is different. The exercises can be seated or standing and all equipment is supplied. It’s a very beneficial class from getting together with friends to helping your body with movement. No booking necessary – just come along and give it a try.
A great time is being had by all – thanks to everyone who has supported the Summer Holiday Club at ClayTAWC throughout the summer of 2026. From bead and necklace making, to bread roll cooking, free face painting and craft activities and all FREE. Our Reading Challenge, to keep children reading throughout the holidays has gone down well, and has been very successful too. Little gifts and stickers throughout the challenge has kept the children keen to finish.
School Holiday Summer Club 2026
Thanks to everyone involved who supports our School Holiday Summer Club which runs throughout the school holidays to keep the kids occupied. Our Reading Challenge has kept the children reading throughout the holidays too! Lots of fun, lots of varied activities, cake decorating and fantastic face painting. Amazing support from Emma, who face paints, and Gill, our brilliant helper who makes sure everyone is well looked after. Thanks a million to everyone.
Another great morning at our Summer Holiday Club for the children during August 2026. Free face painting, free refreshments and free bread roll making. So fantastic to have so many great people to support this event. Everyone had a great time and everyone took their freshly baked bread rolls home for lunch. What more could we ask for ?
On your bike …….. This year we want to get our community more active and were successful with funding from Cornwall Community Foundation (Manor Solar Farm) for a bike rack to be installed in our car park. This has now been done so if anyone would like to ride their bike to ClayTAWC, we are able to offer security for your bike. We even have a spare bike lock should you forget yours. In addition, the funding also covers our weekly exercise classes should you be interested in coming along on a Tuesday morning from 10.30am – 11.30am.
Lunchtime Friends … this group has been a fantastic success and everyone that has joined has made new friends. Everyone meets on a Tuesday morning and we are lucky to have secured funding to provide pasties, soups and sausage rolls for lunch. Games are played and the group listens to music and we all have a great time. We celebrated one of our lovely gentleman, Tom’s birthday, on 14th July with a surprise cakes and a birthday song.

What a fantastic job the guys did tidying, weeding, planting and painting our garden furniture. We are so grateful for the help and are so glad our outdoor space looks up-together for the activities we have planned for the coming months. Thank you again from everyone at ClayTAWC and from the people that will benefit from this great job.
ClayTAWC invited Year 2 children down to ClayTAWC on 4th June for a morning of fun activities. We provided soil, plants and seeds for them to take back to school, a nature sheet for them to consider and pebble painting. A fun time was had by all. We were very luck to have had a Co-op representative in recently who left with us Seed Cards for the children to take away with them to enable them to plant up their own wildflower garden. Our plan is to invite the children down again nearer Christmas time and do something “Christmasy” with them which will be great.
Claytots … our first session!!
We were overwhelmed with the warmth of the parents who brought their children to our first Claytots Toddler Group on Wednesday 13th May 2026. A fantastic morning, with lots of fun, laughter and the mum’s all got together chatting, it was great to see. Come along and join in if you have children from 0 – 4 years. School Holiday Club … Thanks to everyone who took part in our sessions on 14th April and 15th April. A great turnout on both days!! It’s fantastic to have so many lovely people at ClayTAWC and see the children enjoying themselves. We promote these sessions on our Facebook page and Website so why not come along to our next sessions and have some fun.
Better UK were at ClayTAWC on Tuesday 7th April offering a great exercise morning and all FREE to everyone attending. The classes can be chair based or standing and Steve, from Better UK, who ran the session, came along with equipment which everyone was happy to use. Fun was had by all and everyone is looking forward to the next session on Tuesday 21st April. The sessions are also running in May and June. Why not come along and give it a try? FREE refreshments available for all who come along.
Hendra Room – All ready for a Training Day!! Lots of trainees in today for training via an outside body. We accommodated so many more people now that the room is the size it is. Our room hire is very reasonable and the room is flexible for bespoke requirements. Please contact ClayTAWC for further information if you would like to hire our Hendra Room. We also have Kellow and Trelavour Rooms for hire too !!
ClayTAWC Christmas Fayre – Saturday 8th December. Another great event with lots of craft stalls, people and children enjoying the fayre and even a Santa’s Grotto where every child was given a gift. We can’t thank everyone enough who attended and who supports ClayTAWC at events such as these. We had a great raffle and we raised £50 for ClayTAWC in our Number Game. All money raised at our events, goes directly back into ClayTAWC.
Our Lunchtime Friends Group is always a great success – lots of fun, smiles and laughter and new friendships being made. Everyone has such a great time. On some sessions, we even have live music. Its such a great group of people. Thank you to everyone who takes part.
